hi,

installed rc4 dev without creating a new db (actually rc3, upd. 1 was running). At the first glance all is working correct but to make it sure: Is the database identical to rc 3 upd. 01?

The RC4 suppors Private Message so there are some changes to the database, and currently only update script for MySql is provided.

hi,

dropped and recreated database (MySQL), configuration and so on...

What exactly means this private option? I used it in rc3 upd1 in the browser, ok I can only see a private forum if I am in a group with access rights.

But it doesnot work with rss reader, in my case the more important point...

In Dev 4 I can not see any difference, same problem with rss reader and it is ok in the browser... ;-(

I install new version of mvnForum RC$_dev for this feature:
Preview of Private Message feature.

But i can't find it.
Why?

You can see it in the My Profile -> My Private Message

Note: please use RC4_dev for testing purpose only

Please look at the stacktrace, I guess that you forgot to run the upgrade sql script for RC4 (note: only for MySql)

Please note that the Private Message is a mechanism to let user send message to each others, such as email. It is differrent from the Private Forum.

Your issue is that the RSS Reader have to authenticate so that it can read private posts in Private Forum. If you use the Remmember Password via cookie and your Rss Reader use IE connection, then it will work well smile
