Re: Activation template URL error

I'm sure to have all the files I need...

It is quite strange, what I could think of is you should try to reinstall on the latest Tomcat (that is, old Tomcat might have error)

If you still have the problem, please try to put some debug in the freemarker source code, then rebuild freemarker and debug it smile

Re: Activation template URL error

I'm still using on of the last Tomcat releases, the 5.5.4 one.
I'm also using JDK 1.5.0_01 and mySQL 1.5 all running on a Linux server.

have you test mvnForum under this configuration?

Actually I havent tested on Tomcat 5.5.x and Jdk 1.5.x, but someone has mentioned a successful installation.

Please try to install on Tomcat 5.5.7,, if it still not work, then try 5.0.28, if not, then try with JDK 1.4.2

Hope it helps smile

Re: Activation template URL error

Please make sure the files is in folder mvnForumHome/template.

For example, if you mvnForumHome is in WEB-INF, please make sure there is this file:
WEB-INF\mvnForumHome\template\sendactivemailtemplate-subject.ftl

I also looked at the log file, and found what follows:

DEBUG mvnforum.MVNForumConfig - Template directory = ../webapps/mvnforum/WEB-INF/mvnForumHome\template

I can confirm that under that folder there are all the 6 .ftl files

And it gives me the same error. I just downloaded and installed 1.0.2-ga. If you could help here thanks.

you must stand in folder tomcat/bin and run startup.bat or startup.sh command.
Or you can config file mvnforum.xml and use absolute path for mvnforum_home
