I've been watching this product over two years. All these exciting new features and improvements come out one RC after another but can these changes be managed in new revisions rather than RC (release candidates"? Can we get one decent 1.0 GA before going into all these wonderful RCs? I guess that you don't want to go 1.0 GA because you are not quite sure about the quality of the software? Quite frankly, a lot open source 1.0 are poorer in features and qualites than this one but they mature over time and they take necessary steps to qurantee the qualities of their relatively smaller feature set and grow from their into subsquent version releases. You seem to be willing to drop in feature after feature into what seems already stable codes but so hesitate to put out a production release. What's the roadmap for 1.0 GA? Your faithful wathdog. |

Thanks for your discussion, I just want to be sure the 1.0 GA will be the greatest release ever with tone of features and stability. RC4 is the final RC and the next one is 1.0 GA, which will be released in about 2 months ![]() ---------------------------------------- Minh Nguyen mvnForum Developer Want a free, open source Java Jsp/Servlet forum, get mvnForum at http://www.mvnForum.com http://www.DienDanLinux.org |

It is going to be a big upgrade from RC4 to GA? Here's my situation, I have RC3 running and I want to upgrade to get all the latest features so do I upgrade now or wait a few months for GA? Is there a CVS tag that I should use instead? Cheers Mark |

Is there a CVS tag that I should use instead? Cheers Mark The final version 1.0 GA will not be a big upgrade, so I would suggest you to upgrade to the latest RC4_04 as soon as you can. Currently there is no CVS tag for 1.0 GA, but the current version on CVS is quite stable ![]() ---------------------------------------- Minh Nguyen mvnForum Developer Want a free, open source Java Jsp/Servlet forum, get mvnForum at http://www.mvnForum.com http://www.DienDanLinux.org |
