We have a server that was running mvnforum and mysql and the server disk died. I was able to copy the database and the ROOT directory from the server before it died. Now I have a new server running Linux and MySQL and Tomcat. I have gotten so far as to have the tomcat site up but I get the following error: DBUtils: Cannot get connection from Connection Pool I can connect to the database using the mysql command line client with the username and password that I've defined in the mvnforum config file: mvncore_db_DBOptions.properties, So I know that the db is running and that auth is setup correctly. I really need some help so anybody who can offer suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This mvnforum installation is pretty old as far as I know and was installed by a guy who no longer works at my company. Cheers, Clay |

Please look at the stacktrace in console or log file for the detailed error. Btw, what is the version of mvnForum are you using? I also get the same. How can I choose port which MVN use to connect to MySQL? |

I succeed to install the forum. At the first, password of MySQL account is not mysql and database name is not mvnforum. Port of MySQL is also not 3306. Open file MVNCORE.XML in myvietnam/properties, and edit information . jdbc:msql://IP:port/ Ok! Reading this file is to do more: choose dabasename,..... Even MVNforum was finished to build, we can still edit the file. Perhaps Ant only copy from source directory to Tomcat/webapps directory. |
