I signed up with godaddy.com as they provide a Tomcat 5.0 server for Java applications. I have been able to install and run a very basic application that executes SQL commands against the MySql database, so I know that I can make a connection to the db, which I created using the mvnforum_mysql.sql script. I got mvnforum running on my PC using Tomcat 5.5. I uploaded the mvnforum distribution from the original webapps directory and modified the mvncore.xml, mvnforum.xml and log4j.properties files. Due to godaddy.com requirements, I must wait overnight for them to restart the Tomcat server. When I try to start mvnforum, I get HTTP status 503 - this application is not currently available. I know that this is not much to go on, but does anyone have ideas where to look for what is needed to get mvnforum to run? Thanks, Bill Dornbush |
