I would like to see a feature which can be enabled by forum whereby threads which have not been updated can be deleted automatically by the system after a forum defined time. This would be useful for forums which are used for announcments of events and the time for these events is of a limited validity. i.e. announcing parties a month ahead of the party. After the a month and the party is over, the posting will be deleted automatically. I realise on my 1.0.2 system I have lots of posts which are now worthless because they announce events which have long happened. There seems to be no easy way in which to delete these postings in bulk. Deleting the forum would work, but that would lose the valid posts. I can only see that I can delete one post at a time, and then I have to reenter the password again. A bulk thread delete process would be useful, but an automatic delete function which deletes threads not updated after a predetermined period of time would make this process totally automatic. ---------------------------------------- Elrond |
