Dear guys, I have decided to use the mvnforum 1.1GA to be the BBS part of our offical portal website. For this reason, I want to make some modificaiton for the original mvnforum. Specifically that I want to make the user can directlly login to the BBS without any login and validation progress. All the user info will be got from the portal user database directlly. What I have done here is I have successfully installed and run the mvnforum and it can be develped normally in eclipses IDE. After I checked the mvnforummember table, I found a lot of columns are included in it and I wasn't sure that I can make some modificaiton on it. So, please give any commets you have to help for this query, cheers. |

I guess you are using a portal solution (JSR-168) and you need a forum portlet. If this is correct, then we provide the mvnForum Portlet Edition which is meet your requirements. In case you only need a forum run as a standalone forum, and need the single sign on feature, then you will need to implement interface Authenticator.java to do it. If you have any more questions, please fell free to ask me. ---------------------------------------- Minh Nguyen mvnForum Developer Want a free, open source Java Jsp/Servlet forum, get mvnForum at http://www.mvnForum.com http://www.DienDanLinux.org |

Thanks for your reply minhnn, I think I just mess someone up>_<.. Although I need the forum is a part of my website but we don't use the Portlet compoenment. All we want to is just disable all the member table related functions, I just found that the mvnforum has supportted a lot of detailed configuration about the forum which included the member managment. So, I will keep continue in the reserching and if I have some more extra query I will ask in this thread in the future, thx~~^0^ |
